Lisa McKenzie is the driving force of boundless energy that propels Deserving Divas forward. A married mother of two girls, Lisa is a determined, tenacious woman who successfully climbed the corporate ladder—but wasn’t sure she liked the view. Lisa decided to tap into her strengths as an entrepreneur and her extraordinary rapport with people to create a community for women. Those who have met Lisa professionally either as colleagues or as Diva members use these words to describe her: on fire, full of passion, inspiring and authentic. Her thirst for adventure is truely contageous as she naturally inspires others to join along.

With over 20 years of personal growth and leadership education under her belt, she explored, researched, talked with people and held informal focus group. Lisa quickly saw the potential of a niche market. Her idea was to not limit Deserving Divas to a single type of event but to continually explore and deliver what all women wanted. 

As founder of Deserving Divas, Lisa McKenzie is more than an event planner, more than a gracious hostess, more than the go-to girl when looking for the “me in yourself”. The first thing you notice about Lisa when you meet her genuine interest in people and her is willingness to give back.

Deserving Divas is poised on the threshold of a great adventure letting women know that there is more always more. Its mandate is driven by Lisa who says that Deserving Divas was created “to celebrate and empower women, to support local charities, and to showcase business by privileging products or services at the events.” Since starting Deserving Divas in 2004, Lisa has enjoyed considerable media buzz and an ever expanding membership list worldwide.
